1. Booking and confirmation
Your booking becomes binding once we have confirmed it in writing and the deposit/advance payment has been made. You must be at least 18 years old to rent Slåtten, and the person making the booking is responsible for the entire party throughout the stay.

2. Prices and payment

The rental price is stated at the time of booking and includes electricity, firewood, water and final cleaning.

An advance payment of 30% of the rental sum is paid upon booking via an invoice sent to you.
The remaining balance is due 10 days before arrival.
For bookings made fewer than 10 days before arrival, the full amount is paid at the same time.

3. Cancellation

Cancellation more than 14 days before arrival: the advance payment is refunded.
Cancellation fewer than 14 days before arrival, or failure to arrive: the full rental sum is charged.
We recommend that you take out your own travel/cancellation insurance.

4. Check-in and check-out

Check-in: from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival.
Check-out: by 12:00 noon on the day of departure.
Other times can be arranged if needed. Information about keys/arrival is sent before your stay.

5. Number of guests
Slåtten is approved for up to 11 people. The number agreed upon at booking may not be exceeded without our approval. Inviting additional guests to the property is not permitted.

6. House rules

Smoking is not permitted indoors. Take particular care with open flames, candles and the fireplace in these old log houses.
Pets are allowed.
Please show consideration for neighbours and the surroundings.
Treat the houses, furnishings and outdoor area with respect. These are old buildings of antiquarian value.

7. Cleaning
The houses must be left tidy and in the same condition as on arrival: dishes washed, rubbish removed and furnishings put back in place. Final cleaning is included in the price. If cleaning beyond the normal is required, we reserve the right to charge for this.

8. Damage and liability
The guest is responsible for any damage to the houses, furnishings or outdoor area during the rental period, beyond normal wear and tear. Damage must be reported to us as soon as possible. Any deposit may be used to cover damage, inadequate cleaning or lost furnishings.

9. Fire and safety
Smoke alarms and fire extinguishers are provided in the houses and must not be moved or disabled. Familiarise yourself with the escape routes on arrival. The fireplace/wood stove must be used responsibly, and ashes handled with care. Special precautions are taken around fire out of consideration for the buildings.

10. Cancellation on our part / force majeure
Should extraordinary circumstances (e.g. fire, water damage, extreme weather or other conditions beyond our control) make the stay impossible to carry out, the amount paid is refunded in full. Beyond this, we are not liable for any loss or additional costs the guest may incur.

11. Privacy
Personal data we receive in connection with a booking is processed solely to carry out the rental, in accordance with data protection legislation (GDPR), and is not shared with third parties beyond what is necessary for payment and fulfilment.
